Writing a petition

Visiting concentration Camp

On Monday, May, the 9th, Were organized ice-breaking activities – communication and socialising games. The students were organized into working groups to identify and solve the environmental problems in school. A seminar was organized, during the petition campaign, short training was given on what should be considered. This training was about how best we should approach people to sign the petition.The students are prepared to express their opinions and remain polite, and some people are respectful even if they disagree with ideas and must approach people with a smile. On Tuesday, May, the 10th - was organized Citizenship lesson, the students were grouped in mixed teams and carried out practical activities to develop a petition in order to solve the need for social inclusion and problems for the protection of nature/environment. A meeting was also held with NGO and local authorities specialists who presented the students the study on the use of the right to petition and the methodology for drafting a petition. A meeting was organised with an environmental clerk from Lubin’s town authorities. A presentation session followed, each team from each school presented Power Point materials and Kahoot Games on social inclusion and environmental/nature protection. On Wednesday, May, the 11th, A workshop was organised regardinga History lesson in order to study of history of the petition. Language and Literature classes were organised forstudying how to prepare and write a petition and project-based and collaboration methods were presented and applied. A petition was created for explaining the requirementson the identified problems. On Thursday, May the 12th, The petition was given to the necessary institutions by providing support for the other students in the school and resolve the environmental problems. When visiting the city's municipality, the students met the city administrators and talked about solving the problems they had previously identified. On Friday, May, the 13th, the visit to the KGHM mining rescue team staion.All participants attended the discussion on various aspects of mining environmental impacts especially in accordance with the newest EU regulations. The final point of the day was a lecture on recycling issues concerning our countries such as: using alternative sources of energy to protect the environment as well as selective recycling. One of the most important concerns regarding the environment is the plastic materials use. The Geography lesson was held to strengthen the imprtance of recycling and cutting down on pollution.Due to the situation created by the war in Ukraine, a neighboring country of Poland, the teams from Greece and Turkey participated in this activity with 3 students, and the difference of students will participate in other activities. Finally, a set of questionnaires were applied both to teachers and students to assess the project’s activity and the certificates of attendance were handed out to all participants

At the end of the activity, the students acquired the necessary skills to write a petition for the benefit of the citizen regarding the protection of rights, personal or public interests.

The students and teachers visited a concentration camp in poland. it is important to learn from the past for dont repeat the same mistakes and horrors.

 Selective recycling

Organised was a lecture on recycling issues concerning our countries such as: using alternative sources of energy to protect the environment as well as selective recycling.

Social inclusion

By participating in this activity, all students raise a better understanding and respect for different cultures, civilisations and problems present in the community in which they live (social inclusion, environmental protection)
